Tai Chi is a mind body exercise holistically combining controlled breathing with the principles of marital arts. Tai Chi’s many health benefits include increased flexibility and  improved balance.  It will boost heart health while strengthening the immune system and lowering blood pressure.  Tai Chi assists in reducing pain, stress, anxiety, and depression.  Other conditions potentially improved by Tai Chi include arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia.

Cost: $10 per class.

Instructor: Aaron Richie
In 1977 while living in Madison WI, Aaron started training at the Madison Kung-fu Club Under Sifu Robert Yu.   Sifu Yu provided instruction in Qi Goung, Baguazhang, Xing Yi and Tai Chi.  Aaron attended 2-hour classes twice a week until the summer of 2003 under Sifu Yu.  Aaron has continued his training and instruction to students of his own – currently training and teaching at Chay's Taekwondo Academy in Racine.   At Kenosha Aikikai, Aaron looks forward to sharing Tai Chi’s incredible health benefits to body, mind, and soul– with you.

"Although tai chi is slow and gentle and doesn't leave you breathless, it addresses the key components of fitness — muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and, to a lesser degree, aerobic conditioning..."
